Community Events: Get Out. Give Back. Get Down.

April 2007

Generation Dayton, a program for young professionals, is excited to announce the second annual “Generation Dayton Day” Friday, May 4, 2007.  This year the theme is “Get out. Give Back. Get Down.” The event will be a celebration of what is important to the young professionals of the Dayton region, giving back to the community and having a good time while doing it.

One year ago we launched the annual Generation Dayton Day, inviting all young professionals in the region to learn more about Generation Dayton. Since that day we have accomplished a great deal.  We have over 280 members and are constantly growing. We are building our momentum and continuing our mission of professional development, community service and social networking.

Get Out.  This year we are encouraging all employers to allow their young professionals out at noon on Friday, May 4, 2007 to Give Back to the community by volunteering.  The United Way has teamed up with Generation Dayton to create several opportunities to Get Out into the community and work on service projects. Volunteers may choose indoor or outdoor activities created for the day. To register for this portion of the day log on to www.generationdaytonday.org or email LaDonna Wulfeck at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
All volunteers will then receive FREE admittance to the celebration later that evening, and drink tickets.

Get Down.  After a long day of working or volunteering come and celebrate with Generation Dayton at The Deli Market, 32 Webster Street in Down Dayton. The doors will open at 6:30 pm for the official celebration of the 2nd Annual Generation Dayton Day. Heidelberg Distributors and www.herestobeer.com  is the proud sponsor of the evening. A beer tasting of different beers, we will also have other refreshments available at a nominal charge.  Then, get ready to Get Down, with BlindSpot, a local band playing from classic rock of the 1970’s all the way through today’s rock hits. When BlindSpot plays you’ll be on your feet singing, dancing and even the occasional head banging.   The cost to get in the doors is $5.00 with proceeds going to The United Way.

Employers, Generation Dayton Members and ALL Young Professionals don’t miss out to Get Out. Get Down. Give Back on Friday, May 4, 2007.  All information can be found at www.generationdaytonday.org.
