Kevin Miklavcic
$1500 Award Winner
Kevin just finished his fourth year at Wright State University where he is a Computer Engineering major and holds a 3.3 GPA.  His main interest lies is in web application development and he looks forward to finding a career in developing Java web applications after his 2008 graduation.  Kevin was a Software Engineering Intern at NCR during the summer of 2006 and was a Teaching Assistant for Wright State’s course on digital design during the ’06-07 school year.  Kevin’s future ambitions include earning a Masters degree and possibly teaching as an adjunct professor.

Joe Schutte
$2000 Award Winner
Joe just completed his sophomore year at Clark State Community College, majoring in MIS with a 3.9 cumulative GPA.  Joe gained IT experience as a Help Desk Technician at Clark State from May to September of 2006 and in his current part time position at Capstone Technologies Group, a small Springfield based IT consulting company.  Joe is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  He plans to transfer to a four-year college in the fall, either Central State or Wright State, and hopes to continue on with Capstone after graduating in the spring of 2008.

David Yingling
$2000 Award Winner
David just completed his Junior year in the MIS program at the University of Dayton where he holds a 3.5 GPA.  To gain experience in the IT field, David worked as an intern with Montgomery County Data Processing over the summer of 2006, ultimately gaining an offer for employment again in 2007.  David also worked as an MIS Teaching Assistant for the past two years at UD and held an officer position in the UD Information Technology Application Association.  After his May 2008 graduation, David hopes to find a position in project management with a Dayton-based IT company.
