Annual Meeting Celebration

October 2007

As we complete the first quarter of our new fiscal year, during the Greater Dayton IT Alliance Annual meeting we will take time to reflect on the success of our 2004-07 strategic plan. College scholarships awarded, students trained, and business dealsĀ  connected will all be celebrated on October 30th.

The coming year offers new challenges and opportunities as committees of volunteers begin to address the goals of the new 2008-11 strategic plan which will be outlined during the meeting. The Board of Trustees has developed the new strategic direction for the Greater Dayton IT Alliance and over the course of the next several months the working committees that support membership, communications and workforce development will begin engaging the IT community and executing programs based on this plan.

The Dayton Development Coalition has also completed its strategic planning process after asking for input and guidance from Greater Dayton IT Alliance leaders. Jim Leftwich, Chief Operating Officer for the Dayton Development Coalition will outline the key areas of the plan that are important to the information technology industry and Dayton's future.

Finally, John Griffin, Acting Director, technology division for the Ohio Department of Development will provide insight into their plans and how it will impact the information technology industry and the future of the State of Ohio.

While all companies are continuing to do more with fewer resources, the Greater Dayton IT Alliance maintains and benefits from a deeply committed Board of Trustees, broad-based membership, and a host of volunteers. Please join us to acknowledge their accomplishments and catch a glimpse of the future on October 30th!
