The Miamisburg firm opened the new 5,000-square-foot location in Warren, MI, last week. The company, which does technical writing and product support documentation, opened the office to be near work it does with the U.S. Army’s TACOM, Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, company spokesman Matt Armstrong said.

“We do a lot of business in that area, and we needed to get some people up there,” Armstrong said.

This is the third satellite location for the firm. Initially, the office will employ between 15 and 20 people, including technical writers and data managers, with the goal to have up to 30 people by the end of the year. “The Detroit area offers a rich talent pool in close proximity to our military, aerospace, and manufacturing clients,” said Bob Heilman, chief executive officer, in a news release. “It makes good business sense to establish an office nearby.”

The firm also has facilities in Oshkosh, WI, and National City, CA. The company has 300 total employees including about 215 locally. O’Neil and Associates is the Dayton area’s 69th largest company, according to Dayton Business Journal research. The company posted $24.6 million in revenue in 2007, up from about $19 million the previous year.
