Job Description Summary:
The Business Analyst, IT Automation & Data Analytics is responsible for discovering and visualizing the information hidden in vast amounts of data to enable better decision making. The business analyst is a business user with advanced analytical, business intelligence, and process automation skills who interprets data and trends to support business activities and is driven to recommend and implement process automation. The business analyst will also establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and parent business units through clear and consistent engagement and communications. The analyst will also form and manage relationships with third party providers in the advanced data analytics and robotics process automation space.

Responsibilities:
• Interviews senior leadership to understand their overall business goals
• Interviews business users to understand how they perform their roles and job processes and what they need from advanced data analytics or robotic process automation to boost their performance
• Provides consultative support on business-led technology initiatives
• Proactively monitors industry, functional, and technology trends
• Works with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements for advanced analytics or process automation
• Engage with business partners and influence project decisions; assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands
• Identifies unarticulated business needs and coordinates between stakeholder groups to address them
• Provides guidance on project scoping to meet stakeholders' requirements
• Performs detailed analysis and identifies trends defined in the requirements such as weekly, quarterly and annual trends for customer churn
• Identifies data anomalies and communicates back to the data stewards
• Presents analytics evidence in a written or verbal “story” communication
• Coordinates data analytics and process automation efforts and provides input into portfolio delivery plans in terms of schedule, cost, scope and quality to drive delivery of technical solutions
• Works with IT Leadership Team to provide technology and thought leadership in advanced analytics and robotics process automation
• Advises and consults with other departments and third-party providers on production software issues, concerns, problems, and questions
• Provides oversight and serves as an interface to executive management for large development projects

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements:
• 10+ years of overall work experience
• 5+ years of business intelligence and advanced data analytics experience
• 5+ years’ experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria
• 3+ years’ experience with data warehouse or database management system (DBMS) physical implementation, including tables, joins and SQL querying
• Broad IT domain experience in three or more of the following areas: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Maintenance and Support
• Retail application experience a plus

Skill Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and track multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent oversight of large-scale development projects, ability to ensure projects on target and within budget
• Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Working knowledge of structured data, such as entities, classes, hierarchies, relationships and metadata
• Working knowledge of quantitative analytical skills
• Ability to visualize, articulate and solve complex problems and make decisions based on available information
• Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
