As the one-year anniversary of the launch of GlassData™ approaches, we at Key Media & Research (KMR) are working diligently to expand and improve existing content… while continuing to add new features.

Some recent updates include:

Enhanced Database of Contract Glaziers

The Contract Glazier Company Data list and U.S. maps have expanded from 250 glazing contractors to 300! We work tirelessly to individually vet companies in all states and regions throughout the U.S., ensuring the most accurate and information-packed database of contract glaziers.

Refined Publicly Traded Section

The Publicly Traded Sector section, which aggregates annual growth among major companies in the glass industry, has been fine-tuned. For international businesses, the data now only reflect their architectural glass-related sales in the North American market. We also added an indicator showing expected growth in the current year based analysis of the most recent outlook/guidance of financial reports. Finally, a glass machinery manufacturer and extrusions supplier are now included in the data to round out and fully represent the industry.

More on the Way

Here are several big things to come in the near future:

Regional Growth Rate: The Annual Glass and Glazing Spending section will soon include the historical 4-year and projected 4-year growth rates in each of the five major U.S. regions. (Expected by end Q2 of 2024)

Inflation Adjusted Growth Rate: KMR is developing an index to apply to the architectural glass and glazing spending year-over-year change data to account for industry-related inflation. (Expected in Q3 of 2024)

Machinery Section: A new section of the site will be dedicated to the glass fabrication and processing machinery segment of the industry. It will include market size and market share data on machinery manufacturers, as well as other key indicators. (Expected in Q3 of 2024)

Revamped Fabricator Locator Section: The glass fabricator locator section will be vastly expanded in scope and detail, more closely resembling the format of the Contract Glazier Company Data area. (Expected in Q4 of 2024)
