      Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to

      Secure Custom Apps

Today, more than ever, software engineering teams produce custom business applications by assembling libraries and open source software components (OSS) within a selected framework. It’s by far the most efficient way to produce custom software applications. Selection of the OSS and libraries are typically made by the software engineering team.

That’s all well and good, but who’s responsible for generating and evaluating the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for common vulnerability exposures (CVEs)? What routines are necessary to do so? What tools are available to support this critically important work? How are businesses planning and budgeting for code remediation efforts to maintain a high-degree of security? Join us for a discussion on this and more.

      Can You Hear Me Now?

Five Strategies to "Lift Your Voice" - And Be Heard - In The Workplace

Although women are represented at every level in most organizations, the ways in which they experience work can present unique challenges. This is especially true of women who work in non-traditional and/or male-dominated professions. Regardless of their position, title, or level of authority, professional women continue to experience “gender-specific” obstacles. Can You Hear Me Now? is a workshop designed to share qualitative research and findings specific to the challenges faced by the women professionals. Participants will be encouraged to openly and honestly discuss the cultural climate of their organizations and “hear” the experiences of their female colleagues. Using the principles of appreciative inquiry, an environment will be created that will encourage participants to share their experiences, thoughts and concerns. Additionally, through the process of facilitated dialogue, they will be invited offer suggestions, make recommendations, and discuss strategies to create a path forward to systematically address the challenges that are unique to women leaders. In doing so, participants will be empowered to unapologetically “lift their voices.”
