Valley View Local Schools has made a commitment to pursue career awareness, exploration and planning for their students. We are being intentional about interweaving career awareness into all aspects of the curriculum so that students are more prepared and informed as they develop their career plan.

Valley View High School students took an assessment called YouScience in which students discovered their career interests and aptitudes. This year, we are targeting the large number of students whose data showed high interest and/or aptitudes in Advanced Manufacturing, Technology and Business/Finance. We would like to extend an invitation to our community partners to support Valley View High School by hosting monthly Lunch and Learn Sessions. During each session, you will meet with the students during the three lunch cycles to discuss your career field, experiences, daily expectations and/or mentor students on the next steps needed to pursue a career in your field.

By tailoring the Lunch and Learn Sessions to those students identified, together, we can provide them with a more personalized and engaging experience that can help them make informed decisions about their future careers. Overall, we hope to inspire our students to pursue careers that support Montgomery County and our local business industry. It's small acts like these that can have a lasting impact on students' futures.

Commitment includes:

*Once a month visit from 11:30-1:00 during the months of January, February, March, April, May.

*Provide lunch or snack for students (Three lunch groups)
