Test and Evaluation Engineer, Senior - PR 1257 PE Systems

General Functions:

  • Provide technical support in test and evaluation (T&E) for aeronautical systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Serve as systems analyst and subject matter expert (SME) to support technical evaluation efforts.
  • Deliver software-specific T&E support to ensure system software performance is properly assessed.
  • Assist in the design phase of T&E programs to align with acquisition milestones and technical goals.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of T&E activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Support performance assessment of aeronautical systems throughout the acquisition life cycle.
  • Aid in the analysis and reporting of T&E results to inform decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update test documentation, including plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Review T&E documentation for compliance with specifications, performance requirements, and guidance.
  • Recommend improvements to test documentation and procedures for greater accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Conduct tradeoff studies to evaluate and recommend alternative T&E strategies and methods.
  • Participate in integrated test teams and readiness reviews, providing input during major test events.
  • Assess capability and availability of DoD and civilian test facilities and resources for planned testing.
  • Monitor and report on ongoing T&E efforts at both contractor and government testing sites.
  • Perform data analysis using modeling and simulation to optimize testing techniques and identify areas for further exploration or refinement.
  • Recognized as highly skilled with advanced knowledge and experience in their technical/professional field, with the ability to apply relevant standards, procedures, and practices.
  • Oversees and guides junior and journeyman personnel, providing expert support across Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff-level interfaces

Qualifications:

  • MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
