Systems Technician Internship- Intrust IT

Intrust IT is searching for eager, empathetic, and purpose-driven students to join our growing service desk team. Our internship program is designed to offer building blocks for experience in the IT world. You will be exposed to entry level work and can gain experience specific to your degree path and skill set. This position will be located in our physical office in Blue Ash with emphasis on capability of work station set-ups. Intrust IT is the landing place for those seeking to hone their passion for technology into a career, not the jumping-off point. This includes our internship students.

This is a full-time internship, Monday - Friday, in-office at our location: 9850 Redhill Drive Cincinnati, OH 45242.

  • Experienced in troubleshooting & configuration of various workstation and server operating systems, line of business applications, Microsoft Office products, and printers.
  • Experienced in the administration of Microsoft 365 and multiple configurations of Active Directory.

What you will be doing

  • Hands on experience with workstation buildouts to meet clients’ specific needs
  • Troubleshoot & resolve technical support requests from clients to help advance your skill level
  • Interacting with & gathering information from clients to create new support requests
  • Familiarization with our ticketing system
  • Office 365 & Active Directory administration exposure
  • Gain experience on how to resolve client issues with client applications, workstations, servers, printers, and networking infrastructures.
  • Assist clients with email issues, administration, and change requests.
  • Occasionally assist with project implementations.
  • As your experience and comfort level matures, we will work with you to find other areas to give you hands-on exposure to those items. Cybersecurity response, network and endpoint remediation techniques, and complex project architecture / deployment are just a few items that are a possibility.
